Planet looks perfect, but what about the bears?

Habitable zone according to the size of the star

Image via Wikipedia

Astronomers have found a planet that fits the so-called Goldilocks Zone, fitting nicely in what is determined to be the habitable zone.  Not too big or too small for the surface, gravity and atmosphere.  Conditions seem good for liquid water.  And it’s only 120 trillion light years away!

OK, we knew this would be this case for some planet.  What I really want to know is why they named the zone Goldilocks?  I know, I know, the zone has really great porridge.  But Goldilocks herself was a lazy, thieving little bitch.

So, are you up for a road trip, buddy? If we exceed the speed limit, it’ll only take about 100 times a trillion years to get there. I hope you know a lot of road trip games. I’ll bring the cheetoh’s and the Juicy Juices.
