A sorrowful shirt sways slightly in the storm.
Hope you have a creepy and fantastic Halloween, Handsome! What movies will get you into the mood? I think I’m in the mood for some classic ones like “The Haunting,” “The Legend of Hell House,” and “The Changeling.”
I watched The Devil-Doll (1936) this morning. Nothing is quite as creepy as a sinister old lady that is really a creepy old man escaped convict in drag bent on revenge (Lionel Barrymore, oh my!) Plus, miniatured humans robbed of their free will. You also get Maureen O’Sullivan and Director Todd Browning (Freaks, The Unholy Three, The Unknown, Dracula (1931) and, as they say, countless others). Only greatness can come of such a recipe.
Tonight, if you hear something scratching around your window, something making the dogs in the area bark, hear a little faint giggle, it’s just me coming for a visit on All Hallow’s Eve.
I’ll try to save you some candy. Don’t mind the dog, she just has some anger management issues.
