George Henry Thomas “The Rock of Chickamauga”. A US Army man. Union General. The Battle of Chickamauga had the second highest number of casualties of the American Civil War, following the Battle of Gettysburg.
“Long” John Wentworth. A two-time Chicago Mayor (1857–1858 and 1860–1861) with grand plans for cleaning up the city by spying on the brothels.
John B. Finch Chairman of the Prohibition National Committee 1884-1887 and member of the International Organization of Good Templars.
Charles J Hull. Real estate muckety muck.
The place is expansive. The largest cemetery in the city.
