Tall, Sharp-Dressed Gentle…man?

Jack Skellington, Las Ramblas, Barcelona

Take a gander at this short faux-documentary about someone called the Slender Man.

Not bad for a quick 10 minute film, though I think they might be seeing Jack Skellington.

Or perhaps, you would rather listen to some ZZ Top?

Silk suit, black tie,
I don’t need a reason why.
They come runnin’ just as fast as they can
cause every girl is crazy ’bout a sharp dressed man.

Gold watch, diamond ring,
I ain’t missin’ not a single thing.
cuff-links, stick pin
when I step out I’m gonna do you in.

You know, this is one of the forms of shadow people supposedly, but i find it interesting because people have been seeing this tall slender top-hat dude a lot. When I was a kid, long before anyone knew about or talked about this stuff, I knew a couple kids who had seen it. I remember thinking it was just a real man who was really skinny but they said they felt overwhelming doom and dread and like he was some kind of weird witness (like mothman?) Intriguing.

I have always found the tall men, the black-eyed kids and the like to be really interesting. Very interesting to track the traditions and tales across regions.
